CLAIRE MARISMARI

Yoga & Meditation Teacher

I first stepped onto a yoga mat over 20 years ago after a friend recommended a local class to me.

I was diagnosed with acute anxiety in 2009, which hugely impacted my life and I found my yoga practice really supported me and allowed me to feel stronger and confident again.

My yoga practice continued to grow and evolve, so in 2012 I began training as a Hatha Yoga Teacher.

I already worked in a primary school supporting and nurturing children with SEND, and discovered a creative programme with Rainbow Kids teacher training.

I love working with children of all ages, so being able to support the children and families I was already working with was an extra bonus! Since 2014 I've seen how positively young students respond to these sessions.

I now teach KS1-6th Form students in various schools and colleges as well as privately from my studio in Hampton.

I thoroughly enjoy teaching my all-inclusive and mixed ability classes where individuality, achievement and kindness is celebrated.

Yoga for wellbeing is now an essential tool to enable young people to build confidence and self esteem as well as manage their physical and emotional health. By teaching breathwork, relaxation techniques and mindful movement, they can learn to navigate their way through a variety of life experience and overcome fears and anxiety.

Reach One Teach One to me is the opportunity to draw on my experiences and support young peoples physical and mental health during the challenging times in their lives.
